Happy Wheels Squid

Happy Wheels is back just in time as Flash is about to meet its horrifying, unfortunate end. That was a close one! We apologize for any inconvenience caused, and we hope the anxiety of possibly losing Happy Wheels didn't keep you up at night. If you didn’t know it was in development, here’s some great news: this is the first public release of the game! Please be patient as we work to fix any bugs that might still be lingering.

While I’m still a fan of Flash, one thing I really like about this new version is that it works super well on mobile devices. However, there are no on-screen mobile controls just yet—those will be added in the next update. If you’re eager to try it out on your phone, a Bluetooth keyboard works great in the meantime.

I also mentioned the game would run at 60 frames per second, but some of the tougher levels do run a bit slower at that framerate. That said, it’s already an option, and I could host a 60 Hz version on a separate page for those with really powerful CPUs. 

Overall, Happy Wheels JS is a faithful recreation of the original, keeping the same design and gameplay. The user database, levels, and replays are all the same as before. The only thing we’ve lost is the imminent doom of the Flash era. Thanks for your patience, and enjoy the ride!
