Ninja Turtles

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or TMNT for short, are four fictional teen turtles named after famous Renaissance artists. They were trained in ninjutsu by their rat sensei and live in the sewers of New York City. From there, they take on petty criminals, evil villains, mutated creatures, and even alien invaders—all while trying to stay hidden from the world above.

Created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the Turtles first appeared in comic books from Mirage Studios and later exploded in popularity with cartoon series, movies, video games, toys, and more. During the late '80s and early '90s, the franchise reached peak popularity, becoming a global sensation!
