Winnie Pooh

Winnie-the-Pooh, also known as Pooh Bear, is a beloved fictional character created by English author A. A. Milne. The first stories featuring Pooh appeared in the book Winnie-the-Pooh (1926), followed by The House at Pooh Corner (1928). Milne also featured Pooh in poems within When We Were Very Young (1924) and Now We Are Six (1927), all illustrated by E. H. Shepard. The tales of Pooh have been translated into numerous languages, including a notable Latin version by Alexander Lenard, Winnie ille Pu (1958), which made history by becoming the only Latin book to appear on The New York Times Best Seller list in 1960.
